5 Ways to Improve Your Online Business
eCommerce is a forever evolving world. There are always new apps and services that can help expand and improve the way you shop and sell online. This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend The Prosper Show in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show drew in people from all walks of life with a common goal of gaining inside knowledge. The Prosper Show held presentations with many CEO’s and experts from leading companies around the world. As soon as I walked through the doors of the exhibition hall, I was submerged into a world that I barely knew existed. Throughout the span of of 3 days, I learned a few very important and vital lesson on how to improve an online business and now I am here to share them with you! Here are my 5 take aways from The Prosper Show.
Use Your Companies Testimonials as A Marketing Tool.
Sometimes people are hesitant to patronize a company they know absolutely nothing about. No one wants to be the first guinea pig. So to help combat peoples fears of spending their hard earned cash, use testimonials to help ease their doubts. Your company and product can benefit from testimonials which will showcase how amazing your commodity can be.
Sell on Multiple E-commerce Sites
There are a plethora of programs that allow you to track and update your eCommerce stores all in one place. It’s important to crack the code and learn how to optimize different tools to gain greater income revenue. One exhibitor that I found very interesting at the convention was Big Commerce. The representatives at the booth mentioned that selling on multiple platforms could potentially allow you to triple your sales and income.
Use Key Crawler Words on Your Website.
After roaming the hall, I came across a great amazon based company called Merchant Words. This company focuses and researches key words that help drive a potential customer to your amazon store. If your not on amazon, be sure to do some research on different “crawlers” to make sure your webpage is featured when certain words are googled or searched on any other engine.
Highlight The Benefits of Your Product
Many businesses tend to focus on their product’s features instead of the benefits. If you highlight how the product can potentially influence the consumers everyday life, it creates a feeling of “need”.
Golden RULE: Treat Your Customers How You Would Want to Be Treated.
A lot of times, this goes without saying, but honestly… customer service is key. No one likes to be treated poorly! If customers feel like their business is valued (even during the not so pleasant encounters) they will always return. Also, they won’t fail to mention the companies customer service strengths to their friends as well as in online reviews. Word of mouth is one of the most efficient marketing tools therefore it’s important to keep the client satisfied, even if that involves a compromise.
